One Beyond is thrilled to announce that we have been renewed as a supplier on the UK Government’s G-Cloud framework. We have yet again met the requirements of the Crown Commercial Service to earn a place on the prevailing framework.

Being an approved service provider on the government framework is extremely important to us as it makes buying and benefiting from our software services easier and quicker for public sector organisations.

What is the G-Cloud framework?

The G-Cloud framework is an initiative that was started by the government in 2012 in order to simplify the public sector procurement process when buying or selling cloud hosting, software and support. It provides a pre-approved list of suppliers and technologies on the UK Government Digital Marketplace portal and gives buyers access to cost-effective and honest cloud services.

It’s an agreement between the government and suppliers of all cloud-based services and is broken down into three categories:

  • Cloud hosting
  • Cloud software
  • Cloud support

The G-Cloud framework has two main aims. Firstly, it’s been designed to enable public bodies to access cloud innovation by easily researching and evaluating the different services and technologies that present themselves on the Digital Marketplace. Secondly, it aims to abolish the barriers for small and medium-sized businesses within public sector procurement.

Why is it important to be on the G-Cloud framework?

For One Beyond it’s important to be on the G-Cloud framework as it’s an innovative marketplace where SMEs can offer services at the same level as the big players. Not only this but it means we are a government-approved and accredited provider which helps us to reassure clients that we have the expertise and technologies to make the perfect partner for them.

The benefits of the G-Cloud framework

The G-Cloud framework essentially allows the public sector to buy cloud-based digital services off the shelf. Some of its benefits include:

  • Faster and cheaper to use
  • Access to almost 25,000 services and 3,500 suppliers
  • All costs, terms and services are provided upfront
  • Direct communication between suppliers and buyers
  • No need for contract negotiations

We’re delighted to be listed as an approved supplier and believe that our place on the G-Cloud framework reflects our commitment to providing quality, innovative and strategic software and technologies to both the private and public sectors.
