Not only is Pride Month a time to celebrate diversity, acceptance and inclusivity, it is also a time to amplify LGBTQ+ voices, educate ourselves on LGBTQ+ history, and raise awareness of the societal issues that continue to face the LGBTQ+ community.

At One Beyond, we are proud to be an LGBTQ+ inclusive workplace, offering our full support to anyone who needs it and encouraging every one of our team to be the best possible version of themselves. After all, we’re all people before we’re employees.

With this in mind, and as Pride Month is a true celebration of diversity, we asked our team ‘What does Pride Month mean to you?’ Here are some of the responses:

“It means a celebration of diversity, progress and the advancement of culture. It means giving a voice to millions of people who for many years did not have it. It means vindicating and supporting the rights of all, the fight against repression and hatred.”

Andrea Calvo Moreno, Junior Software Developer, Spain

“Pride month is an opportunity for me to raise awareness about causes I care about and causes which affect other members of the LGBTQ+ community. It’s a chance for me to speak more loudly about bi-erasure, which is something I still experience in my personal life. The cause has come so far, so although there is still work to be done, it’s a chance to celebrate that fact too.”

Ashleigh Hall, HR Business Partner, UK

“It is an important period when we should remember focusing on accepting each other as they were born to this earth.”

Matyas Angyal, Software Developer, Hungary

“The One Beyond team is made up of people from diverse backgrounds, ideas and points of view. I feel that we take pride in being ourselves by speaking loudly on who we are and offering a diversity of perspectives that make us an innovative and unique team.”

Marina Dávila, HR Business Partner, Spain
